This is my cat. Her name is Kitty. Yeah, I know, not very original, but when she became a part of our family that was what was easiest for Son to say. In this picture she is lying on our bed. This is where she spends most of her time, except for occasional bursts of maniacal energy in which her pupils get VERY large and she tears around the house bent on catching whatever it is she sees. Usually it's just a piece of fluff. (Bad demon fluff!)
I would dearly love to be as relaxed as she is most of the time. I just spent the last couple of hours ordering curriculum and trying to track down a book that seems to be out of print judging from the prices it is commanding (It's running over $100. Needless to say I won't be purchasing it at that price.) My kids are irritable today because they can't go outside and play owing to very smoky conditions in our little part of the world. Two irritable children do not make for a relaxed atmosphere.
I wish I had some spiritual lesson to share with you about all this, but so far I haven't found it. Except maybe I ought to rest in the Lord, rather than letting the cares of this world get me wound up and chasing a ball of fluff. It's not the end of the world if I don't get the one book and eventually the winds will shift and the smoke will clear out....I hope. Meanwhile I think I'll go pet my cat, have a cup of decaf and settle down with a good book.

Cyndy-
YAY...you BLOGged! Matthew 11:28-30 should help with you being tired. He WILL give you rest. I like your final thoughts, though, of the cup of decaf, petting "Kitty", and settling down with a good book. Sounds great to me!
Love ya,
Frances
